The ceiling cassette type indoor unit was originally designed for, and is still widely used in buildings which use a suspended ceiling grid with removable tiles. The workings of the cassette are hidden within the ceiling void, leaving only the decorative fascia grille on display (which takes the place of the removable tiles).

Nowadays it has become increasingly common to install ceiling cassette units even when there is no ceiling to hide the workings. This industrial look has become desirable in many commercial environments and Newman refrigeration are experts when it comes to making all the industrial services which connect to the unit look pretty!

The cassette draws air in via a central grille, filters the air, passes the air through a heat exchanger and then evenly distributes the conditioned air in 4 directions via louvres. The louvre angles can be adjusted easily at the system controller to prevent drafts and provide perfect air distribution into larger spaces whether they have a suspended ceiling or not.
